Venez plonger dans un univers de bijoux en perles. Un espace ou je mets mes créations faites main et uniques pour votre plus grand plaisir. Des colliers, bracelets ou boucles d'oreilles en perles de rocailles, à facettes, tubes, demi tubes, swarovski, pierres semi précieuses...., toutes sortes de perles et toutes sortes de métaux.

Comme je suis très manuelle, avant c'était le crochet, le tricot, la broderie et à présent ce sont les perles qui captivent toute mon attention. Un travail manuel, très minutieux qui veille au petit détail et des bijoux uniques de créateur.

De formation initiale en comptabilité, j'adore créer de belles choses et je l'ai toujours fait en parallèle de ma profession initiale. Créer pour moi c'est respirer, pouvoir atteindre un certain degré de plaisir que rien d'autre ne pourra me procurer et pour le votre aussi car à chaque fois que je crée un bijoux c'est comme s' il était pour moi et j'y mets tout mon savoir et toute mon attention. Quand je crée un bijoux c'est plein d'émotions, de souvenirs, d'imagination et de créativité qui l'accompagnent et qui le caractérisent pour le plus grand plaisir d'une femme très spéciale, qui aime bien se faire plaisir et se distinguer.

The love of a job well done

I attended an art school in Paris but I spent most of my life in south of France. I always have loved working with my hands. I started with drawing, painting, experimenting with collages, textures, colors and all kind of medium. I also love photography.

I agree with the idea that things made by hand have a life and a soul, because when you create something, first in your mind and then with your hands, it's a little bit of yourself you put in the objects you create.

Now, I create fashion accessories, bags and jewelry as well as Eco fashion (redesigned and vintage clothing. Altered Couture). My favorite materials are : leather, stone, glass, and metal. Follow fashion trends is not my thing, I rather follow my own inspiration of the moment. Even if I like the result, I never try to do twice the same object, this is why I only make one of a kind creations

Hello Marielle,

 

Very nice work,  what drew you to making jewellery ?

I always knew I wanted to do a hand-work. So I made an "art appliqué" BAC degree followed by 5 years of fine art.

A "chance of life" has made me discover the world of jewelery in a massana school in Barcelona (Spain).

What can yo utell us about your creations ?

Each Maä jewel is entirely handcrafted with the utmost care and lots of love!
Maä jewels are made in small series ; nevertheless each jewel is unique, marked with small imperfections that make their charm...

 

Where does your inspiration come from ?

I draw my inspiration from the delicacy of nature; the gesture of a flower, the outline of a cloud, the memory of a grain of sand, the aroma of the night, the elegance of imperfection

How do you promote your brand ?

For me the better promotion for Maä bijoux is a word-of-mouth, for that I try to offer the best "Service after sale" and the best quality product I can!
Because if a client is happy he can bring you lots of new customers...

Otherwise I use facebook but I have to make progress!!!

Any word of advice to new designers ?

The better advice I can give is: calculate the price of your items accurately. 

This is the classic mistake of a beginner, the prices are boring and often pass in segond plane... but are vital for the survival of a creative business!

Perhaps if you like jewelry the better place to go is Munich when the "Schmuck fair" first week (normaly in february) one week with a lot of jewelry exhibition in all a city...

The first time I went, I was selected to contest "schmuck tallent" and it was awesome. 

Visit a city thanks to exhibitions everywhere, it was great (the weather was good, it helps!)

The jewellery creation  I prefer from your collections is "Mini Oxidised silver stacking ring with a 5 mm peridotcabochon" .

I like the irregular crimp, the simplicity and the fineness form !
